| DAINFERN COUNTRY CLUB FOOTBALL CLUB | |
|
The Dainfern Country Club Football Club was started in late 2003 with the official opening taking place in March 2004. The first season of the DCCFC (2004) saw a membership of approximately 150 kids with an average of 300 members registering every season thereafter. The DCCFC is made up of teams as follows:- |
| Mudpuppies | Age 3 to 5 years |
| Little League | Age 6 to 11 years |
| Junior League | Age 12 to 19 years |
| Seniors (Men's and Ladies) | Older than 19 years |
| Vets | 35 years and older |
| To date, the DCCFC has a membership of 280 members registered for the 2007 season. There are three training sessions per age group per week and league games are held each weekend for age groups U6 to Vets. Dainfern Country Club Football Club Philosophy There are many factors that can influence the development of a player. Athleticism, coachability, motivation, size, speed and strength are some of these factors. Ball touches cannot be substituted for in development of a Premier player. The extra touches will give the player an edge on the competition. If you are a coach, you must try to develop training sessions that will challenge and increase the number of touches your players can have with the ball. We constantly remind ourselves "less talk more work"! We also try to incorporate a diverse training program that includes short-sided matches. If you adopt this philosophy of "lots of touches", you find that your players are having fun, developing, and winning more often than not. Dainfern Country Club Football Club's Mission Statement At DCCFC we believe:

| DAINFERN COUNTRY CLUB RUNNING CLUB The DCCRC is affiliated with the Central Gauteng Athletics and takes part in all CGA registered events. The DCCRC has its own CGA event which takes place on 31 October 2007 and a night run with a Halloween theme. Time trials take place each and every Wednesday evening starting at 17h45 (during the Winter months) and 18h15 (during the Summer months) and we have a wonderful 8km, 5km and 3km run for all ages and fitness levels which meanders through the golf course. Our members take part in various annual races including the Two Oceans Marathon and the Comrades Marathon and the DCCRC management and committee support our runners all the way and have booked two gazebos at the finish of the race to ensure that our runners have a place to rest and relax after their gruelling run. We have two types of membership for the running club i.e. Licensed Runners and Non-licensed runners. Licensed runners may take part in CGA registered races but unlicensed runners may only take part in the weekly time trial events. |
