Corporate golf day info

Due to the great demand to hold corporate days at Dainfern, we require the following procedures to be complied with. Please supply us with your Billing Address and VAT number for invoicing purposes. To secure your booking we require a non-refundable deposit of R15 000.00 and the signed original Terms & Conditions within 7 (seven) days of provisionally booking the date. Alternatively the date will become available to other clients and the first to settle the deposit & send the signed contract will secure the date. We will advise you accordingly should another client wish to book the same date.

When payment is made, please send a copy of the proof of payment to Samantha Karam on for confirmation.

Should you cancel your booking within 90 days you will receive your full deposit back. If you Cancel 30 days before the golf day takes place there will be a 50% penalty charge and cancellations under 30 days, NO REFUND will be made.
Type of course
Dainfern is a “SOFT SPIKES” course

Green fees:
R240 per head for 90 – 120 players
R260 per head for 80 players or less

Winter Special:

R170.00 per head for 80 players or more
R200.00 per head for 70 – 40 players

(Winter special VALID June,July,August ONLY)
Please Note: If you have more than 120 players then the whole course would need to be booked out which would cost the same as a shotgun start.

Shotgun start:
R38 000.00 upfront fee.
(Shotgun starts can only be booked on a Monday or Thursday.)

Tee times:

Standard tee-off time Summer - 11h32 – 13h00 off the 1st & 10th Tee

(8 min intervals) (unless otherwise arranged by the Golf Director directly)

Standard tee-off time Winter - 11h24 – 12h52 off the 1st & 10th Tee

(8 min intervals) (unless otherwise arranged by the Golf Director directly)

Four ball Alliance, two scores to count (optional)

Caddy fees:
R180.00 (includes a caddy meal and caddy foundation payment) Please book at least one week in advance as we only have 80 caddy’s available. Should you require more caddies we can hire them in and charge the master account accordingly. (Final numbers are required 7 days before your event). In the event that caddies are booked and not used on the day, a R100 cancellation/non usage fee per caddy will be billed to your main account. This R100 is for transport & food for the caddy.

Halfway house:
Grab & Go @ R45 per person:

Halfway House may be arranged as a grab 'n go in which case we set up a braai under our trees between the 1st & 10th hole. This is of course, weather permitting. We will provide chicken & beef prego rolls, chicken & beef burgers or boerewors rolls. Beverages will include an assortment of cold drinks, sparkling and still water (500ml)

Full Halfway House @ R55 per person:

Halfway House may also be arranged in the Halfway house. Here the golfers will be served chicken & beef prego rolls, chicken & beef burgers or boerewors rolls along with salads & chips. Beverages will include an assortment of cold drinks, sparkling and still water all only in 500ml bottles.

Tables and chairs will be set up outside the halfway house for registration and for any hand outs that are to be given to players.
Standard set up consists of two trestle tables for registration and two     trestle tables for handouts. Should you require more – please book with Sam 7 days prior to your event taking place.

Registration Snacks (Optional):

Option 1- Tea & Coffee Only R 12.50 per player
Option 2 - Coffee, Tea and Biscuits R 16.00 per player
Option 3 - Fresh Juice and Biscuits R 16.50 per player
Option 4 - Coffee, Tea & Juice & Biscuits R 20.00 per player
Option 5 - Fresh juice & assorted sandwiches R 25.00 per player
Option 6 - Fresh juice and assorted muffins R 26.00 per player
Option 7 - Fresh juice, tea, coffee & assorted sandwiches R 27.50 per player
Option 8 - Fresh juice, tea, coffee, muffins & Croissants R 39.00 per player
Option 9 - Champagne, Orange Juice & sandwiches R 42.00 per player

The nearest to the pin (4, 6, 11 & 16) and longest drive pin (9 or 18) markers can be arranged with Sam, please advise options 7 days in advance.

Golf Carts: R250 per cart for 18 holes (max 15 available.)

Advertising: All advertising on the course needs to be approved by the Golf Director and the Golf Committee. Please ensure that the banners are delivered to the Club by 09h00 on the day of the event and are clearly marked as to which holes they must be taken to – This is only necessary if it has been arranged with Sam, that the Dainfern staff are to take the banners to their respective holes. Please note that the Dainfern staff are not responsible for erecting any banners or gazebo’s we will assist with taking them to the holes along with the promotion people but we do not put up or take down the banners after each event. (PLEASE NOTE: there is a R375 charge per hole to assist with setting up tables & chairs and taking people out to the sponsored holes on the course) Please also advise should you require an umbrella, if so this will be charged separately to the master account.

We do not accept responsibility for banners which are not collected directly after the event or left at the Club overnight.

Course drinks:
Stationary watering holes can be arranged with Sam (hole 7 & 14) Representatives of your company must be stationed at the above holes to man them. Dainfern Country Club will issue a variety of drinks (as selected by the client) to the watering holes, however no drinks will be sent out until the holes are manned. Your company representative will receive the stock and sign for it upon receipt. Stock will be charged on consumption and charged to the master account. In order to ensure that drinks are kept as cold as possible the drinks will only be sent out 30-40 minutes before the first golfers will reach the first watering hole.

Please advise should you wish for Dainfern to supply the ice, if so we will charge the master account on consumption @ R35.00 per bag. If you are supplying your own stock please ensure that you are self sufficient as Dainfern will not supply equipment (i.e. Trays, plates, glasses etc.)


ENTRY TO ESTATE: Maps are available on request. Please provide us with a list of the Golfers & the non golfers invited on the day (including suppliers) so that we can arrange access through our security booms.

PLEASE NOTE: For access onto the Dainfern Estate our security require ALL visitors to produce their valid drivers licence. NO ONE will be permitted onto the Estate without their licence or ID, therefore please advise ALL your golfers & guests accordingly.

We suggest that you advise all visitors to use the Cedar Road entrance (west side of Dainfern) as there are two visitor lanes. The William Nicol gate tends to be more congested as there is only one visitor’s lane.

Dress Code: Collared shirts and only recognised golf attire may be worn.

Prize Giving: A private function venue will be available for your prize giving after golf.

We have a selection of menu options available for a buffet or a cocktail option. Please contact Samantha to discuss your menu (A private function venue is subject to availability). R50 corkage fee is charged per bottle of wine brought into Dainfern Country Club (we will only allow for wines to be brought in if they do not appear on our current wine list). No spirits are allowed to be brought onto the premises.

Tables will be set up for dinner and to display your prizes.

We levy a 10% gratuity charge on the dinner menu and bar account for waiters and barmen.

Payment: To secure your Corporate Golf Day booking we require a non-refundable deposit of R15 000.00 and the signed original Terms & Conditions within 7 (seven) days of provisionally booking the date.

Once the deposit is paid and the Golf Day is confirmed we will then send the estimated account.

PLEASE NOTE: The Estimated Account (Pro-Forma Invoice) is payable 14 working day’s prior to your event. Should this account not be settled 14 days prior to your event we will not allow the golfers to tee off on the day until it has been settled accordingly!
