Dainfern is a mature, secure Golf and Residential Estate which has evolved over 1200 homes since its inception in 1992. The Estate offers an unparallelled lifestyle and recreational experience centered around the Gary Player designed golf course enhanced by nature trails, parks and sports facilities all located in its own 320 hectare "suburb". Dainfern represent a variety of architectural styles and tastes, creating a unique and personal experience. The Estate is divided into villages, each having their own character. Dainfern is a sanctuary withing the energetic, vigorous metropolis of Johannesburg where children can safely ride their bikes in the street or play in one of the eleven playgrounds and parks the Estate offers Dainfern is a small municipality in itself and is central to the other estates and developments that form the regional precinct that surrounds the estate. Dainfern provides a very secure environment for its residents, where there is no fear of crime and an all-inclusive lifestyle that caters for all members of the community.
Dainfern, a private Estate nestled away in the north east of Johannesburg, was acquired by Johnnic Properties in 1985. The old Fourways Golf Course formed part and parcel of the acreage acquired by Johnnic Properties and, after a great deal of research, consulting, planning and negotiation, the premier lifestyle Estate, Dainfern, was born.
Complimentary Lifestyle events take place throughout the year and are an important element in forging a strong sense of community – annual events include The Easter Egg Hunt, Mother’s & Father’s Day celebrations, a Christmas Market, Halloween Trick or Treating, and Carols by Candlelight.
Residents as well as non-residents band together to enjoy all the luxurious, active and serene offerings that make Dainfern ‘home’. Families are able to spread their wings and children can ride their bikes, play soccer on the Oval, play in the parks, play tennis or squash or spend an activity filled afternoon in one of two pools.
Fibre is currently being installed on the Estate. Link Africa are busy with the installation of the fibre network in a number of Villages on the Estate. Link Africa have used the current stormwater drains and sewerage system on the Estate where possible, however this has not been possible on the entire Estate and this has caused trenching to take place in some areas. Where trenching is necessary, pits will be dug to ensure that no irrigation or municipal services pipes are installed at the wayleave position.Download
